This course will review the basic concepts of what is HCL Sametime, the dependencies it requires, the server types and the supported client types.Additionally this course will review Sametime vs Sametime Premium deployments and what's new in Sametime 12.

At the end of this session, students will be able to:
identify what services HCL Sametime provides.
the deployment difference between version 11 and 12.
understand the Sametime dependencies and what services they provide.
understand Sametime servers and how they support each client type.
differentiate between Sametime and Sametime Premium and what features they support.
Prerequisites
To follow the instructions in this course, you will need:
basic understanding of network topologies.
basic understanding of LDAP and Database servers.
familiarity with server operating systems, such as Windows and Linux.
